Welcoming Our New Sire to Flood Farm
Flood Farm has a new sire, and his name is Bear. We have been waiting for the right moment to introduce him, and after a week of watching him settle in, we are thrilled to share him with our FF Family.
How Bear came to Flood Farm
Bear came to us from a fellow breeder who knew Cindy and was looking for just the right home for him. Cindy has spent more than 40 years raising German Shepherds. When she met Bear, she saw the qualities she values most in a family companion: a steady mind, a soft heart, and a real desire to be with his people.
First impressions
Bear is gentle and affectionate, and so eager to please. During his first photo session he sat patiently for the camera, checked in often, and came running across the field every time he was called. He loves a good toy and a good scratch behind the ears, and he is happiest when someone he loves is close by.
Meeting the ladies of Flood Farm
Any new arrival has to be welcomed by the ladies of the farm, and Bear passed with flying colors. The whole group spent an easy afternoon together under the apple trees, sniffing, wandering, and even stealing a few fallen apples. There was no fuss, just a pack getting to know its newest member.
Stormy decided right away that Bear was her new favorite playmate. The two of them have been chasing each other through the fall leaves ever since, and we have to admit, they make a handsome pair.

Why temperament comes first
At Flood Farm, every decision starts with temperament. Our goal has always been calm, loving German Shepherds who are at their best as members of a family. A sire's temperament matters as much as his looks, and Bear's gentle, people-focused nature is exactly what we hope to see in a Flood Farm dog.
